3 HEARTS RANCH AND FOUNDATION

3 Hearts Ranch was started as a way to honor three very special women and their journey with cancer.

Amanda Bland was the sister of Trey Bland a board member. She lost her battle with cancer leaving 5 young children without a mother. She fought a very hard battle and wrote a journal that was published so her young children woud know her.

Mary Jo Mayhan-DeBrine was the daughter of Edward Mayhan, Founder of 3 Hearts.  She was a mother and had just had her first grandchild before she passed. She was an avid outdoorsman, loving to hunt and fish. She was an excellent archer winning several tournaments. When diagnosed with lung cancer, it had already spread and was in her bones.  She put on a brave face and fought a courageous battle.

The third of our ladies we honor is Jacqueline Kay Autmn Hasty.  Jackie is the sister-in-law of Ed Mayhan, Founder, and sister of Susan Mayhan board member. Jackie was the mother to four and after her death had her first grandchild born. Jackie's four children are board members and also are partners providing riding and birthday services through 3Hearts. Part of all monies collected is donated to the 3 Hearts Ranch and Foundation in memory of their mother. Jackie loved children and the country life. Jackie enjoyed fishing, camping, hiking and being outside in the yard. Jackie taught special education and also worked in the field of mental health with persons who were physically and mentally disabled.  Jackie was deemed a miracle during her treatments by her doctors as she was able to be in remission three times which almost never happens with the type of cancer she had. Jackie was a warrior and fought till the very end.

All of our board members have been directly affected by cancer in their families.  They have all experienced the heartbreaks and hardships that such a diagnosis presents.  Often times especially in smaller rural communities there are not many resources available to the person or their family.  3 Hearts is hoping to help fill that void and become a partner in your support system.
